Both Stratford and Memorial High Schools have Girls Lacrosse Programs. These 2 day clinics are ideal for middle school and high school girls who are interested in playing Lacrosse for the first time. Come join middle school coaches, high school coaches and womens college players in these introductory clinics.
Girl's Lacrosse is a fast paced running sport with an emphasis on hand eye coordination and stickwork. Girl's Lacrosse is a non contact sport in 6-7 grades with stick checking allowed in 8th and up. Parents are encouraged to watch/participate in learning the fastest growing girl's sport in the US!
Lacrosse requires girls cleats, solid color mouthpiece, eyewear and a girls lacrosse stick. Some loaner sticks will be provided at the clinic.
JustHerSports.com - map - has agreed to be there on June 15 at 4:30-5:00 to sell intro sticks and eyewear to the girls who do not have any equipment. You may visit their store in Bellaire before the clinic to purchase girls lacrosse gear. Academy also carries beginner girls lacrosse gear but is very limited. Make sure you purchase a GIRLS lacrosse stick and not a BOYS lacrosse stick. There is a big difference.
A $25 donation is accepted at each 2-day clinic to help cover the costs for our collegiate women volunteers. You may signup to attend more than one 2-day clinic.
